Well, as some of you may or may not be aware, I’ve returned to Vancouver. Actually, I’ve been here for nearly two weeks already, but I’ve been far too occupied to update my blog. I’m still getting some things sorted out with school, and looking for a job, and I’m about to commence a five week long house-sitting (more like sister-sitting) operation while my parents go on a trip to Europe for their 25th wedding anniversary.
I decided to jump in to things full swing and take 6 courses this semester, but one of them is not really working out for me right now, though hopefully I should be able to switch to a different course with no penalty today.
I had planned on writing a big blog entry for my leaving of Japan, but I feel that now something like that would just be exhausting, so I will sum everything up in a couple of comments. It feels really great to be back in Vancouver, and if one year away taught me anything, it’s just how great and under-appreciated this place really is. There are some things I miss about Japan, but overall I am glad to be home for now.
Speaking of being home, I suppose my blog name “Stranger in a Strange Land: A blog about my life and experiences in Japan” no longer really holds. I don’t know what to name it, so suggestions are welcome. Please post some in the comments.
I haven’t really got to see everyone yet, so if you’re reading this and haven’t seen me since I’ve been back, drop me an email!
