Ok, this post defied titling for some reason, so it doesn’t get one.
A few weeks ago I went on a bus tour put on by HICE and made some new friends there. This weekend one of them was celebrating her birthday and invited me to her party. Her house is out in Bentenjima, the resort area of Hamamatsu. It’s a really nice and picturesque part of the city and I will certainly have to return there some day for some photo taking. I have to say, the accommodations (and apparently the pay) of people working here as English teachers are really quite good as she lives in nice two story home. Although I think for living alone I prefer my single room apartment.. gives me less to clean anyhow.
The party was a lot of fun and I met quite a few really interesting people there. It was a really international gathering with attendees from all over the world. Numerous languages, including English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, and Polish were used throughout the party. I, along with everyone else, was enjoying myself so much that I missed the last train home and we all ended up crashing for the night. After only several hours of sleep I woke up and managed to find my way to the train station to take the early train back home.
I spent most of the day just relaxing at home, managed to miss my intended basketball time this evening because of being to tired and falling back asleep. Oh well. I am also very glad that my heater has been repaired since it is getting quite cold now, even during the day. I think I’d be chilly even if I was sitting around in my sweater without the heater on.
In other news… December is finally here. Nearly since my arrival here I have been looking forward to this month for many reasons, and I glad to see it arrive. Looking forward to having the next several weeks pass quickly, as I start an extended (hopefully with some coercing, 3 consecutive weeks) vacation on December 21st. I’ve been working hard at work lately and it will be nice to have some quality time off.
Well, that’s all for now, I don’t forsee anything terribly eventful in the next several weeks leading up to my vacation so blogging may be slim, but any insightful updates will be posted…
